Meet the founders

Marnie and Meagan are a mother and daughter-in-law team who turned their passion for crafting and creating into something with a purpose in 2019...to provide a simple solution to reducing single use plastic in your home.

Meagan was born and raised on Vancouver Island and has had the opportunity to travel in her late teens early twenties. It opened her eyes to truly how beautiful the West Coast is and how important it is that we all strive to preserve this beautiful place we call home. It was upon travelling, specifically to South East Asia and Australia, she realized the effect we have on coral reefs and plastic carelessly tossed in the ocean and beaches. This is one reason she feels so passionately about Bee Natural Co. She believes that we can make a difference one step at a time, and one simple step is with reusable food wraps. She loves that they are made from clean, natural materials and are easy to use. They are a product that she can feel good about using and one that she uses daily.

Marnie moved to Vancouver Island from Ontario in 2015. Now that she has been living near the ocean, she finds it a constant reminder of the need to reduce our plastic waste that goes not only into our oceans and forests affecting ecosystems, but also landfills. When she discovered reusable beeswax wraps she realized what a simple and effective solution they are to reducing her family's plastic waste. Marnie loves that they fit into her busy life as a way to preserve food longer and pack fun lunches and snacks for her family. 

Something we enjoy doing together is supporting local markets when we are able. This also inspired us to create our own business out of something we feel passionate about - reusable beeswax wraps. When you support local, small businesses, there is a greater sense of satisfaction and personalization in knowing you have helped someone continue in a path they are passionate about. You know where the product came from and the people who created it.
